The wakin goldfish is very comparable to the common goldfish and fantail fancy goldfish when it comes to their appearances. the wakin has a long, slender body type, parallel to that of the common goldfish. the main difference between the two is the tail designs. Watonai (wa town eye) a double tailed goldfish with a similar body shape to the sarasa comet & wakin, however they have broader, much more elegant tail fins. watonai were developed by crossing a wakin with a ryukin and were first described in japan, early in the twentieth century. they are a rare and hard to find variety that has recently been re-created by blackwater creek koi farms
